Work Experience
Forty years as a design consultant, working primarily for contract furniture manufacturers in the United States and Canada. Projects included logotypes, corporate identity programs, marketing materials, graphics systems, catalogs, advertising, product design, art direction of photography and interior design.

Many prestigious industry awards for product design, graphic design, and advertising.

After successfully completing the four year Industrial Design program at the Ontario College of Art and Design, Jeffery went on to receive a Bachelor of Applied Arts degree from Ryerson University, both located in Toronto, Canada.

Fresh out of art college, Jeffery gained experience as a design consultant for start-up Kinetics Furniture. All areas of design were his responsibility; art direction, product design, graphic design, interior design and advertising. During his thirteen year tenure, Kinetics was one of the industry’s most successful companies, experiencing explosive growth – in excess of 50% per year. The design work created for Kinetics received numerous awards including a very prestigious honor presented by the Canadian Government for outstanding Corporate Design. Kinetics is now a division of Haworth.

Jeffery’s career experience was further enhanced with an executive position at Geiger Furniture and numerous successful design commissions with other leading Canadian manufacturers.

Hiebert Inc., a very successful, Los Angeles-based, contract furniture manufacturer hired Jeffery in 1984. As Manager of Marketing Communications, he directed and supervised the design and production of all the company’s furniture, graphic materials and sales literature. Again these projects received numerous industry awards for design excellence.

Jeffery then re-established his own consulting firm in Culver City, where he applied his talents and expertise to the development of successful, marketing-based design programs for manufacturers in the United States and Canada.

He has served as a part-time faculty member at the Sheridan School of Design and Ryerson University, both in Toronto and the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena.
